I took to the luge when I was very young, but I never imagined that it would become my passion. At 14, I was already competing on artificial tracks.

I come from a long line of sportsmen.

I grew up on a farm, and I had good, natural South Tyrolean food.

My good health, coupled with joy of tobogganing and my desire to be the best, has helped me stay in professional sport for so long.
